ALLO Express

A mysterious monolith appeared in Kyiv, Ukraine. It turned out to be a promo of the new postal and logistics operator.

In mid-November, news about mysterious monoliths that suddenly appeared and just as suddenly disappeared in the USA, Romania and Great Britain began to spread in the world press and social networks. The story quickly went viral.

On December 10, in the morning, such a monolith was found in Ukraine — on the Kyiv Castle Hill. Kyivan Yuriy Romanenko informed about it on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/yuriy.romanenko/posts/3780404055314631

He wrote: “A mysterious monolith from California popped up in Kyiv. They say that Elon Musk is behind all of this”.

But the monolith installed in Podil turned out to be a promotional campaign of the new postal and logistics operator ALLO Express. On close examination, an inscription was found on the obelisk explaining its origin.

“We could not help reacting to the world-famous story with monoliths, because it fits so well into the ALLO Express concept — the goods from allo.ua will appear in the place you need in no time. Therefore, we picked up the wave and installed an obelisk on one of the Kyiv mountains, saying “Just touch — we will deliver”,” said Arthur Matkovsky, Chief Marketing Officer, ALLO.

The company says that the obelisk is a symbol of changes in the customer journey towards online and ALLO’s desire to comply with this trend.

The obelisk is the cornerstone of a customer service development strategy. After all, ALLO Express is designed to provide a new level of comfortable delivery service and is a strategic direction of ALLO development in the near future. And, in general, on the eve of the New Year, we wanted to distract people a little from the hustle and bustle and, at least for a moment, make them believe in a miracle,” commented Maxim Raskin, CEO, ALLO.

The campaign was developed and implemented by TABASCO creative agency, Ukraine.
